Plumbing and HVAC: Brightwater Home Services
A plumbing and HVAC site built for a homeowner with a problem right now, and for the maintenance plan that keeps them coming back.
This is a concept, not client work. Brightwater Home Services is a fictional company we invented to show how we design for plumbing and hvac contractors. The photos are licensed stock.
Who it’s for
Homeowners with no hot water, a leak, a clogged drain, no heat or no cooling, usually stressed and on a phone, plus homeowners comparing maintenance plans and system replacements.
The design challenge
Two trades and a dozen services can bury the one thing a stressed visitor needs: who to call and how fast.
Emergency visitors and planned-work visitors want opposite things, speed versus explanation, on the same site.
The conversion strategy
Why the page is laid out the way it is. These are design decisions, not measured results; a concept site has no real visitors.
Start from the symptom
A “What’s going on?” picker turns “no hot water” or “AC not cooling” into the right service, a safety tip for urgent problems, and a booking form that’s already filled in.
Readability as the brand
Set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readability, with large tap targets and plain labels throughout.
Two clear paths
Call or book is always one tap away for emergencies. Maintenance plans are laid out side by side for the planners.
Local pages that earn their place
Service-area pages talk about the homes and systems typical of each area, rather than swapping the town name.
The look
A visual identity made for this one business. None of it is shared with the other concepts.

What’s in the demo
